Commercial Agents normally break Commercial Properties down into four main areas:

Industrial Premises:
The is the smallest group, covering industrial estates, warehouses and distribution stores. The south east has the largest concentration of industrial property, with North UK coming second.
Offices:
Office/s comprise of standard office buildings and business parks, for which we have seen an increase in recent years. London dominates the office market, but is now becomming strained due to long established built up established areas. Office space has seen changes due to technology needs of tenants communications. even in recent years businesses had the need for extensive cableling (now changing due to wireless networks. London has around 1/2 of the UK's offices with the South around 1/5th. With net access becomming cheaper and faster many former office tenants are increasingly working from home offices and saving on rent and business rates.
Retail Premises:
Retail is the largest commercial type and includes a broad range of property types, such as high street shops, shopping centres, supermarkets, retail warehouses, and department stores.
Leisure/ Other Commercial Properties:
Public Houses, nightclubs, restaurants, ice rinks, bowling etc fall outside the three (above) main commercial types, all are in the leisure sector. Many such properties are increasingly being built away from town centres.
